Part 1: Autorecloser Relay Testing

Welcome to another series of tutorials on autorecloser relay testing. Autorecloser relay is a device that will close the circuit breaker automatically in time of tripping event or power interruption due to fault on a power system. In other case, autorecloser is integrated in the protective relays like line protection and feeders protection. It has a sets of parameters than can be modified according to the requirements of the network like number of shots, dead time or how the circuit breaker will reclose, reclaim time or how long the autorecloser relay reset to a ready state after the sequence of reclose and others. In this tutorial, I will show you how to setup autorecloser relay connection to the omicron test set like CMC in different scenario like on the bench testing and onsite testing. How xrioFilter file extension work

XrioFilter file extension is a type of file that use in the Omicron Xrio application. This file is linking the Xrio application to external library that processing the relay setting file to be imported to Xrio application. When the import relay settings executed from the Xrio application, the application will scan all the xrioFilter file from the Xrio filter directory and and read their information and list them all in the Import Relay Settings dialog box. Once the filter is selected and hit the OK button, the Xrio application will inherit its properties to the Import Filter (.dll) and execute the ShowParameterDialog procedure to process the data.
